There have been a lot of changes in the way people live today from even just ten years ago. If there is one thing that has changed significantly, it is the way that people communicate with one another.
In the 1800s, the only way to communicate was to send a letter or talk to each other in person. This was the case until around the end of the 1800s, into the early 1900s, when Alexander Graham Bell made the first telephone call on March 10, 1876. After that, the landline evolved over the years until it was made the way it was needed to be.
Telephones were a huge milestone for the human race as a whole because they were used for a lot of situations . For example, it allowed a faster way for people to communicate.
One important thing they were used for was law enforcement in use-cases such as calling in for case files, information on a suspect, or calling for backup if needed. Eventually, the landline failed to keep up with the demand of users. In the 1970s, the first mobile phone was invented, yet another great technological innovation for the human race.
Until 2002, the first-ever smartphone was created that could send and receive emails and messages. The negative part about it was that it didn’t have a speaker or microphone, so to use it people needed a headset of some sort.Within 2002, another first was created, the camera phone.
With the camera phone people could take a picture then later could download the picture to a computer. Then a couple of years later in 2007 the first of the infamous Apple iPhone was released and was able to perform computer-like functions. Plus it was the first cell phone with a touch screen, which is kind of odd to think about because eight years later almost everybody has a cell phone with a touch screen. Now with all of the things people can do with cell phones, phone calls, text messages, and emails, cell phones are more powerful than ever before.
