Many high school kids go into sports. The question is, are they helpful? I have an answer. High school sports have a positive influence on students because they teach social skills, teach sportsmanship and show that with hard work anyone can accomplish what they want to.
Social skills are one aspect that has a positive influence on students. High school sports require students to communicate so they can perform the best together. The competitiveness they feel will require them to communicate so they can pass, score, and win. Then this way, they won’t be shy in front of people and they won’t stammer or hesitate. If someone hesitates to talk in a game it might cost a point or even the ball. After a season of playing, people will see that they can interact well and can get along stronger in groups.
High school sports teach social skills, sportsmanship, and show that with hard work anyone can accomplish anything. These are important skills in life as they are needed at school, work, and even outdoors. Figures such as bosses and teachers will appreciate this from others. Looking at sports through this perspective shows that sports have something positive to offer to its players. So that way sports are not useless but actually helpful.
