Competition is in many parts of our lives. It is present in schools and in sports. Kids around the world participate in competitive activities. But competition can make students’ lives difficult because bonds will break and kids will be bullied for losing.
Competition can make students’ lives difficult because bonds will break between people. A friend will become aggressive against another friend and may do something he/she will repent, such as calling others’ names or treating them harshly. Imagine a friend has been chosen onto the other team. In the time leading up to the competition, the friend may make fun of his comrade and say some things he will disapprove of. If that happens, the friend cannot return from that and will most likely break his friendship.
Competition can make students’ lives difficult because kids will be bullied for losing. After someone loses, they will be exposed, and kids will pick on them because they have failed and will be frequently bullied by various people. If a child loses the winner and others standing by will make fun of them, point out their mistakes, and imitate them. Once a child was made fun of losing in a game and was bullied by his team members and the other team. The other group ridiculed his entire group and made fun of them. His team then veered on him because he was one of the most damaging players to their side. They pointed out what he should do better and how he should not play anymore.
I feel like if there is going to be some activity it should not be competitive. It should remain fun but not something that holds a big prize or you have to wait a week for it. It should be a quick and simple activity.
